Secrets of the Millionaire Mind

Updated from a previous post in August 2013.

I am back for another blogpost, trying to blog at least every week, as I really want to blog about important issues that I believe in, and am focusing on success at the moment, as I am building my online presence and coaching company.  I really believe that the best way to learn is to teach, so I am all about personal and business development.

Why I wanted to blog about The Millionaire Mind and it’s secrets

T. Harv Eker became a self-made millionaire in about 2 and a half years and is now recognized as a leading coach and mentor in the world of mind mastery.

“It all comes down to this: if your subconscious ‘financial blueprint’ is not ‘set’ for success, nothing you learn, nothing you know, and nothing you do will make much of a difference.”

Brian Johnson (author of the Philosopher’s Notes), is concentrating on the big ideas of the book, and the psychology of wealth creation, and is not focusing on the nuts and bolts, so if you want to find out more I suggest purchasing the book here:

T Harv Eker believes: “The first thing I did was commit to my success and playing to win. I swore I would focus and not even consider leaving this business until I was a millionaire or more. This was radically different from my previous efforts, where, because I always thought short-term, I would constantly get side-tracked by either good opportunities or when things got tough.”

He also stresses that there is a big difference between the roots and the fruits, the fruits are what we have already grown, and no change can come from the past. But to grow more, and better fruits, what needs to be done is to strengthen our roots. So, with this in mind, to get a Millionaire Mind you must first work on yourself, and on your deeper self so that you can think like a Millionaire, and get the Millionaire Mind.

“An affirmation states that a goal is already happening. I’m not crazy about this because, often when we affirm something that is not yet real, the little voice in our head usually responds with ‘This isn’t true, this is BS’ … On the other hand, a declaration is not saying something is true, it’s saying we have an intention of doing or being something. This is a position the little voice can buy, because we’re not stating it’s true right now, but again, it’s an intention for us in the future.”

Brian Johnson and I totally agree with this as our little voice is very wise, and he knows that our affirmations are not true most of the time… for example, affirming: ‘I am financially free!’ which is not yet true, but declaring that: ‘I am working on my financial freedom’ is true, and also empowering us to get our own Millionaire Mind!

Keep your thoughts positive-Gandhi

So Gandhi had a pretty good understanding of this part of Millionaire Mind: Your programming leads to your thoughts; your thoughts lead to your feelings; your feelings lead to your actions; your actions lead to your results. Therefore, just as is done with a personal computer, by changing your programming, you take the first essential step to changing your results.”

One of the main points to stress here is the programming aspect which may be new to some of you, but the core idea behind this, is that many of our 40-50 thousand thoughts a day are programmed from a very early age by the society we live in, and at the moment, our society is programming us to be silent watchers to the evolution of our society, zombie consumers, that work all day, and watch TV all evening, just to sleep and repeat. As Gandhi also quoted:

“We must be the change we wish to see in the world.”

The idea behind the book is to empower people to get out of this thinking and damaging slump and to start thinking more empowering and uplifting thoughts, thus allowing ourselves the chance to get the Millionaire Mind.

That’s pretty much what the book is about—learning how rich people see the world vis-à-vis poor people and, of course, programming ourselves with the wise perspectives of the rich.

Like many great mentors state and repeat, your wealth will only grow to the extent YOU grow! And that your thoughts do not stay rent free in your mindTHarvEker3, but truly affect every portion of your life. So to have a Millionaire Mind, you must train it to think the good, empowering thoughts, or forever be stuck where you are.

“You can be a victim or you can be rich, but you can’t be both. Listen up! Every time, and I mean every time, you blame, justify, or complain, you are slitting your financial throat.”
~ T. Harv Eker

The Millionaire Mind believes that he is at the steering wheel of his own life, and more specifically financial life. No victimization at all in this mind. He is in control of his own destiny.

Money isn’t as important as love… Often a mindset of the poor, but the Rich know they are both important. Why not have both?

“Complaining is the absolute worst possible thing you could do for your health or your wealth. The worst! … For the next seven days, I challenge you not to complain at all.”

To help you out with this, why not try on a little exercise T. Harv suggests?
The next time (and the time after that and…) you complain, take your finger and slide it across your throat—like you’re slitting your throat.
Gross? Yah.
Exactly the point. Because that’s basically what you’re doing every time you complain!

The author stresses the importance of being COMMITTED TO A GOAL OR RESULT, and not just wanting it, because committing yourself to it, means you will not let ANY OBSTACLES stop you on your quest.

He also emphasizes the need to DREAM BIG, so if you shoot for the stars, at least you have a chance of hitting the moon. Many poor people do not have exciting goals or dreams, and thus do not get anywhere in their lives, whether it be in love or business.

T. Harv Ekers’ whole mindset is that there is no problem too big for you, only you need to grow yourself to be bigger than any problem, once your character is up to 10/10, than any problem lower than this is not a problem anymore…and even the biggest problems in your life can now be resolved! Beautiful.

“Comfort kills! If your goal in life is to be comfortable, I guarantee two things. First, you will never be rich. Second, you will never be happy. Happiness doesn’t come from living a lukewarm life, always wondering what could have been. Happiness comes as a result of being in our natural state of growth and living up to our fullest potential.”
~ T. Harv Eker

Always take at least one action, that you fear, and/or that brings you closer to your dream every day. He stresses that it is important to bless everything that you may want, a home you may like, bless it, a car you love, bless it, a rich person that has what you want, bless him or her… no more curses, no more negative, just positive blessings everywhere you go.

“Energy is contagious: either you affect people or you infect people… I believe negative thinking is like having measles of the mind. Instead of itching, you get bitching; instead of scratching, you get bashing; instead of irritation, you get frustration. Now, do you really want to be close to people like that?”

Make sure your circle and words stay positive, and you will see your life become more positive also!

Giving vs receiving, neither is better than the other, as they are two sides to the same coin, you must be able to give to receive, and receive to give.

The author discussed how to manage your different accounts in this section but you will need to get the book to find out more about this:

 CZ = WZ

“Here’s an equation I want you to remember for the rest of your life: CZ = WZ. It means your ‘comfort zone’ equals your ‘wealth zone.’ By expanding your comfort zone, you will expand the size of your income and wealth zone.”
That’s genius. Is comfort your priority? Um… If so, you’re in trouble… EXPAND!!! And know: “The more comfort becomes your priority, the more contracted you become with fear.”

Well, that is about it for me today. Hope you enjoyed reading my blog, and PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE if you think

I have heard so much about this book from our great leaders. My biggest problem is that I buy the book, start reading it and for some reason that’s as far as I get. This definitely sounds like a book I need. Thanks for sharing.
