So here is part 2 of my book project, I overlapped a little from part 1... Parents’ separation and divorce, circa early 80s, troubled waters My first major life crisis was in the early 80s when my parents finally separated. I remember this being one of the hardest periods of my life even up to …
We are an important part of Nature, and not above her or outside of her as we so often seem to believe. If we want to survive and thrive on Earth for the long run, we, as a species need to realize this, and the sooner the better for all of us and all living creatures on our beautiful life-giving planet.
“Awakening is possible only for those who seek it and want it, for those who are ready to struggle with themselves and work on themselves for a very long time and very persistently in order to attain it.” ― G.I. Gurdjieff “In order to awaken, first of all one must realize that one is in a state of sleep. And in order to realize that one is indeed in a state of sleep, one must recognize and fully understand the nature of the forces which operate to keep one in the state of sleep, or hypnosis. Today’s post will be about a video I recently viewed and took notes about Eckhart Tolle, one of my spiritual mentors and teachers. talking about his life and Life in general, Death and his awakening experiences. I hope you enjoy it and please take a moment to write a small comment. Thanks so much in advance. You can view the entire video at the bottom of this post. Eckhart speaks briefly about his difficult childhood in Germany, his parents separation (sounds familiar), and his move to Spain, all by the age of 12! This also hits a sensitive chord as I lived there for 3 months as a young adult. rock-bottom-the-solid-foundation AWAKENING DAY When he finally experienced his awakening, he was in his late 20s, and on the following morning, he saw everything with fresh, new eyes. It was like a rebirth, as he had been suffering from depression and a lots of anxiety, trying to find his path in life. He began to realize that 80% of his thinking just stopped and also noticed that they were mostly the negative thoughts. I can attest that once you change this one thing, your life takes an about turn whether you are awakening or just monitoring your thoughts better!
